What is Bandwidth
Bandwidth is actually a bunch of wires that connect servers to a network. If you have experienced delay in downloading certain web pages or files to your computer, that is determined by the bandwidth of the connection between your computer and internet service provider.
Bandwidth is all about how much stuff can pass through the pipe opr wire at a given time.Bandwidth is the rate of data transfer and it should not be confused with data transfer as the latter is the amount of data to be transferred. Imagine bandwith as the width of a pipe, through which water can flow. Now it depends upon how wide is the pipe (bandwidth) through which water (data) flows. The wider the pipe, more water is going to flow through it more quickly.
To help reduce the costs connected with bandwith, opt for a more simpler site without any fancy flash presentations. Avoid CSS and javascript codes from embedding in every webpage as they will make the file size bigger and thus lead to more bandwidth needs and usage.
