What are Cyber Squatters
So what are cyber squatters. So you have a domain name but it could be stolen by entity known as cyber squatters.
How? Well they can steal your web identity by registering DomainName.org and DomainName.biz and will try to sell you these domain names at higher price. Sometimes it works and people buy them but if it doesn’t than they can;
*Try to get your competitor to get a similar domain name like yours. This may cause confusion and your competitor might be able to get your traffic and business.
What can you do to safe guard yourself against these cyber squatters?
There are a number of things which you can do to halt these cyber squatters.
* Search your domain name registrar and fill in a form that locks in the authorization of the claim of your other domain names so it can help protect the domain names which you have but there is a small window for filing that authorized entry form.Check with your domain registerar for filing the form with the time frame.
It’ll ask for information such as who should be contacted if someone wants to register your domain name, the character string you are claiming(this should be an exact match) and description of the products or services that you may be selling (when you began using that domain name).
